Making a Round Twist Box

Here we are, another video!

Our new twist box templates sold out rather quickly when we launched on the Create & Craft channel - thank you! We were not expecting that.

But of course, that means that the demonstration must be stopped as UK broadcasting law for TV shopping says so.

Which is always so annoying to people watching a craft channel. So, here's the steps for the round box, the square and hexagon (also included in the set) are a little easier as the base is made in one piece. But otherwise, they are made the same.

I do hope this helps.

I hope you are all enjoying the spring? We've had some rubbish weather, but as I write (waiting for a BT engineer to fix the internet connection and using a temporary one), the sun is shining bright and showing the bit that I missed dusting... haha!

  1. Dusting? What a peculiar activity!!! Good video - I think I had a pattern for a similar box a number of years ago but Team Silkworks looks much simpler and fun to make!
Hope you get the chance to post a tulip snap - we can buy them cut (and daffodils) but can't grow them here - not enough winter chill and most people aren't willing to lift the bulbs and put them in the fridge for the winter! And we can't really grow them in the mountains because the wretched deer think of all flowering plants as candy - not to mention what the ground squirrels can do to your flower bed!
I took Don to Bletchely Park one trip - utterly blown away and very impressed with the replicated computer. Now that was a monster!
    Stay safe and well. xxx

    1. Yes, dusting! eek! I should try harder haha. I did pop a tulip pic over on Instagram, will put one here in my next update. They really are quite lovely. Mind you, had frost last night!
Internet back so now paperwork to catch up on. Amazing how quickly it piles up...
Stay safe and well both xxxx

    2. Instagram let me look long enough to see the tulips, the blooming tree and that amazing daffodil - could it have crammed on even one more ruffle?
Five and a half hours stop and crawl driving to visit my friend - it is a good thing I really like her! And we did have a good visit.
'Enjoy" the paperwork! Hugs all around and stay safe and well. xxx

    3. I know! Those daffs were pretty showy. Lasted well too, we had another that was just the trumpet, quite unusual, that really lasted long. I'm so glad you had a nice visit. Seeing old friends can be very good for the soul. Have a lovely weekend, stay well and safe xx

  2. And we got safely through the button show! I run the raffle and silent auction and raised most of the next years' running expenses for the club - huge sigh of relief! We don't spend much but what we do spend is important. I'm sure you have similar situations. Oh, and I won a lovely celluloid belt buckle, c.1937 - will ask the IT Dept. to do a pic.
Got home in one piece but it took twice as long as usual - an accident on the southbound side of the freeway and everyone on the northbound side had to stop and look!!!!

    1. Great news about the fundraising! I'm so glad you enjoyed it, despite the traffic back. It's good that everyone takes part, much nicer than simply asking for the needed funds.
It's a holiday weekend here - so off work tomorrow technically. I say that, as are self-employed ever? And then next weekend another - extra - holiday for the coronation, so the work week in between will be interesting! Stay safe and well, xxx

    2. Had forgotten about the coronation! I did think it was very nice of H R H to choose the date of our wedding anniversary for the event! It will add a real cachet to our 51st!
I know from my own family (the grands ran a small store in a ranching area) that there is no such thing as a break! It is one reason I am glad Don never really got serious about running a book store/coffee house! However I hope you will snatch a few minutes here and there to hold hands with Mark and admire the flowers. I think they are worth the tweaked back - so beautiful! Stay safe and well. xxx
