A new little video showing some of our new items!

A little video showing one of the samples I've made for our show on The Craft Store on Saturday. We will be launching our new ganutell kit - lots of sparkly wirework! We'll also have these little display frame packs with stands, great not only for ganutell, but many other things - after all, we all need reasons to make pretty passementerie, don't we? So this video takes you through decorating a frame with fancy fabric.

Right, on to start making the One Button a Week collages for this week!

Stay safe and well everyone!

We're back at the Craft Store this Saturday

We will be back at The Craft Store on the 29th at 10am with a ganutell flowers show - and a new kit in the range.

This time, the kit will focus on Cloisterwork techniques - these flowers are made using only wires and so are full of sparkle.

Our full range of ganutell kits is designed to teach a particular technique, from the spiral would thread flowers to fluffy chenille styles. To see the full range - visit our website

As you can imagine, it is currently all hand on deck getting ready, lots of kits to pack :)

I do hope you'll be able to tune in.

And, for your diary: Our next scheduled show is on Feb 19th at 10 am - with buttons...

How to make a prepared thread ganutell petal or leaf - ganutell flower m...

A very short and sweet video for today's upload on YouTube - just a refresher for those of you who have recently purchased our latest kit.

Are you all keeping well? We seem to be really busy - we have another two Hochanda shows on the 22nd and that seems to have come round fast! So, organising and planning is keeping us both busy.

And of course, the sun has decided to just about push through - at the springtime angle that makes you really see that the place needs a proper clean. Yes, it's that time of year again where I discuss purging and probably only manage a bit. But, a little every year will surely mean I will, eventually, get rid of all the excess Stuff.

Wish me luck!

Please stay safe and well all of you.

How to make Prepared Thread / Wire for ganutell flowers (twisting techn...

A short little video showing two techniques of twisting wire and thread for ganutell - for those of you who have purchased the new kit especially.
I start using the new twisting rod from the Tornado set, but at the end also show how to do this with a stick - and one's included in the kit.

A bit of sunshine!

Ganutell flower kit from Gina-B Silkworks

As I write, there's a bit of sunshine trying to brighten the day. Which is needed! I know it's only February, but the winter has seemed long this year. Probably a result of lockdown.

We are still busy getting ready for our Hochanda shows of course. (Feb 25th at 5pm and 9pm). On our 9pm show the focus will be ganutell, and a new kit highlighting a different ganutell technique. By twisting thread and wire together you can make more unusual - and robust - shapes. All with a bit of sparkle! Ganutell mean winding a lot of wire into kit-ready coils. As you can imagine, this isn't the most favourite of my jobs :)

I hope that you all get a bit of sunshine this week!
